The Power of Gathering: Reflections on the V3 Leadership Experience, Part I

Something powerful happens when caring people come together who are committed to learning, growing, sharing, and connecting, especially while living and sharing meals together in an intimate venue surrounded by nature's beauty. What emerges can include vulnerability, acceptance, support, belonging, trust, friendship, creativity, and more. This safe space of reflection and connection creates possibilities for lasting change from the collective experience. Our ways of Being, Thinking, and Doing are shifted, even if just slightly. Even small shifts patiently carve new paths to spectacular, beautiful evolutions.

Sparked by my own retreat experiences, the power of gatherings with people willing to show up and grow together is why I created the V3 Leadership Experience, a 3-day in-person retreat for women leaders and entrepreneurs to boost their Voice, Vision, and Visibility. And, it lived up to the participants' expectations and mine. Here are a few reflections from the first, and not the last, V3 Leadership Experience. 

Every group is as unique as each individual within a group. The amazing women of V3 so willingly dove right in, starting with our opening circle. Playfulness was intentionally woven throughout the experience, and this group swiftly oscillated between Serious & Playful, Head & Heart, Introspection & Extrospection.

We looked outside of ourselves and were held in the beauty of nature. 

We looked inside of ourselves for the beauty that lies within each of us.  

We practiced presence, grounding, and relational awareness.

We connected with our minds, hearts, and souls to hear our inner wisdom.

We tapped into who we are and why we are here.  

We explored our range of voices and willingness to be visible.

We filled with new inspiration and energy.

We left changed, different from when we arrived.

Uncovering our authentic true selves guides us to walk and talk with the conviction that comes from knowing what we uniquely contribute with our strengths and life experiences, what deeply matters to us, and how we choose to spend our time and energy. Presence and attunement to ourselves build confidence from within and self-trust to show up as we are. Creating our dreams one small moment and choice at a time. The witnessing within the V3 group experience validated and supported each of us to expand and lead more bravely and aligned with our meaningful pursuits and inner spirit!
