A few prompts here for a heart-touching Mother’s Day card and more. If your mom has passed away, you might honor her with your special memories.
I see….
I admire...
I believe….
I feel…
I appreciate…
I wish for you…
I wish for us…
For the brave-hearted, here is a potentially healing variation:
Recall an image of yourself as a child. Even better if you have a real photo in front of you.
Fill in the blanks for these prompts as though your mother or your older self were saying it to Younger You.
What do you still need or wish to hear today?
This might bring up some emotions…welcome them in.
If you have children, how might you fill in these blanks for each of them? How might you share with them?
Here's a special message for my children, and you too:
I believe in magnificent YOU as you are today! Not a future you. You of this very moment. You are capable, strong, and kind. You do not need to be anything more than who you are now. Enjoy your life journey one moment at a time. Don’t let future or past worries rob you of your present moment experience. Choose right here and now. Then choose again. Keep choosing. Allow your destination to evolve and be intriguingly unknown. Carve your life path led by your heart and soul, supported by head discipline and body wisdom, and by trusting your instincts and intuition. Listen to your body and senses. Your nervous system and emotions exist as your greatest guides. Welcome all. Notice. Pay attention. Tune in. Listen deeply. Your body and heart know. You know. Trust yourself!
Ride the waves of life with increasing balance, lightness, and vitality! Attach yourself to less and less, except to who and what brings you most alive. Create spaciousness for curiosity, inspiration, connection, solitude, movement, stillness, nourishment, and rest. Bring your authentic self forward into spaces that challenge and scare you! Then, one day, you will discover you are not afraid to walk anywhere exactly as who you are. Then, you will be truly free, confident, and most alive! I love you! I’m rooting for you! I’m here to support unwaiveringly and compassionately, learn through our messes, and have fun together! You make me a better me! Thank you! IFLY!
Cheers to deepening connections and communication!
Happy Mother’s Day to all!
